We found it very challenging to get up this high.
We took the route from the north, ascending southwards, and found it very steep. If you've got a decent fitness level and good hiking experience, the climb is certainly doable, if you take your breaks wisely. There's very little shade near the top, so if you're climbing in high-heat, bear that in mind.
However, the view at the peak is definitely worth the climb.
Not only do you get a great view of the Plansee up here, you can also see the Zugspitze in the distance.
