Dettelbach Town Hall

The historic town hall of Dettelbach is a fine example of late Gothic style and the colorful painting is definitely worth a few looks. If you drive the Main Cycle Path it is worth the detour through the old town of Dettelbach. Schweinfurterstraße (coming from Brück) leads directly past the town hall.

The late Gothic building, which was built over the Altbach, has a street passage. This passage is marked with the year 1512, but the completion of the construction work is accepted for a few years later. On the eaves of the eaves, a high, double-flighted outside staircase leads to the portal, in front of which rises a gazebo and thereupon a polygonal choir with tracery windows. The window structure of the town hall is arranged asymmetrically. Inside, the council chamber with oriel and forecourt is well preserved

The town hall is a real highlight of Dettelbach's old town, which also has many other buildings worth seeing. You can also take a quick detour to the town hall while driving past.
