The cycle path winds alongside the road, passing meadows and fields, and occasionally offering brief glimpses of the Main River. The path is somewhat narrow at times, and in Mainstockheim, the path crosses the road leading down to the ferry – caution is advised here!Still, it's the best choice to avoid the busy St2270 from Dettelbach to Kitzingen and vice versa.

A detour is actually not necessary if you drive the Mainradweg. But it is definitely a nice piece that you can plan well in a round trip if you don't want to drive all the way along the Main. It is well paved and not too crowded even when the weather is nice.
