So far only knew the west portal, this one discovered by chance, it's a shame that you can't go through here. Still worth a trip in connection with Wolfsbrunnen Castle

The Frieda Tunnel was part of the Leinefelde-Treysa railway line, which itself was primarily intended for military purposes. It was part of the low-gradient Kanonenbahn (Cannon Railway), which was intended to transport military goods as well as passengers. To the east, the tunnel continued onto the Frieda Viaduct, which was blown up by the Wehrmacht in 1945 and, due to the cross-border railway line, was never rebuilt. Consequently, the tunnel was no longer needed and was finally filled and completely walled up in 1984.
