A small sandstone cave near Kuldīga. For €8 you get a short guided tour in English through the cave. It is not particularly large and one of the young men only had a small flashlight with him. It is by no means like in the advertising pictures on the internet. If we hadn't had a flashlight with us, it would have been quite dark.

The longest cave labyrinth in Latvia is located five kilometers from Kuldiga. The total length of the inclined sand cave is 2 kilometers, of which 460 meters.
The entire beer labyrinth is the work of humans. They were dug three generations ago and more than 100 years ago, and the resulting white sand was used for glass production in the village of Algirjana. Today, the caves belong to the fourth-generation heiress and cave hostess Inesse.
When visiting the caves, it is important to remember that there is a constant air temperature of +8 degrees all year round.
