Groß Düben has a new playground and the village square has a new name. The latter has officially been called Elisabeth von Zenker Platz since 01.06.2026. The Swiss woman was the last manor owner of Groß Düben. Von Zenker's heirs renounced their property after 1990 in exchange for compensation, which the municipality now honors by renaming the square. In addition to Sebastian Bertko and Helmut Krautz, the current and former mayor, Beat von Zenker, a direct descendant of Elisabeth, was also present.
