Die Drei Schwätzer are a bronze sculpture created by Karl-Henning Seemann in the central Hessian city of Gießen. They are located in the inner-city pedestrian zone at the junction of the Plockstraße in the Seltersweg.

Founder of the work of art was the People's Bank Giessen (now Volksbank Mittelhessen) on the occasion of the celebrations of its 125th anniversary and on September 5, 1983 in the presence of Lord Mayor Hans Görnert (CDU), the unveiling. Seemann's intention was to symbolize with the sculpture people of the homeland, which lead a conversation - not a debate, but a normal conversation, as it develops daily between citizens in the city center. The trio were mostly very well received. In the early years, passersby occasionally provided the babblers with hats, goggles, and shopping bags and put cigarettes in their mouths or newspapers or potato chip bags under the arms of the figures. Although they experienced several color strokes over the years, they have now become a landmark of the city and a popular meeting place.

The three babblers have been standing in Gießen since 1983 and are a bronze sculpture representing a conversation between three people. It is meant to show a typical "babble" of Central Hessian people as they exchange news and gossip.

Unfortunately, the three chatterboxes are sometimes used as a bike stand.
