To get to the summit, a little surefootedness is required. It goes over rocks. Ties are attached to the few slightly more difficult places. So it is very easy to handle. You will be rewarded with a magnificent view of the Kötztinger valley. Sturdy footwear is recommended as with all mountain hikes.

The Kreuzfelsen is 999 meters high and part of the elongated Kaitersberg. On the rocky summit is a huge summit cross including summit book. From here you have a very good view of Bad Kötzting and the front Bavarian Forest.

If you are out and about on the Kaitersberg, you should definitely visit the Kreuzfelsen! For me one of the most beautiful places in the Bavarian Forest.

Hiking shoes are recommended. Thanks to ropes, it is also easy to do for children. The five-year-old was very proud. The fantastic view compensates for all the exertions. For me one of the most beautiful places in the region. Plus with a summit book, which the children also found exciting.
