The Reolid station was one of the main stations on the Albacete section of the Linares-Baeza–Utiel railway. Built during the works that began in 1927, it was intended to serve Reolid and the populations of the Salobre river valley. However, it never received any trains, as the line was definitively abandoned in 1964. Today, restored as a rest area on the Vía Verde del Renacimiento, it preserves the passenger building, the goods shed, and the wide railway esplanade, becoming one of the best places to understand the magnitude of this ambitious unfinished project.

From this station starts one of the most spectacular sections of the route. Heading towards Jaén, just a few meters after the building, the Reolid tunnel begins, 520 meters long. In the opposite direction, towards Albacete, the track opens up to the La Mancha plain after leaving the first foothills of the Sierra de Alcaraz.
