Always open, paved walkway is wheelchair accessible. Dogs allowed on leads.
The Tralee Canal Walk is a short segment of the larger North Kerry Way. It is also a segment, to the bridge at Blennerville, with the Dingle Way and the Kerry Camino. It follows the old ship tow canal, with pasture and wetlands to either side throughout. Patient birdwatchers will be able to spot great herons, mute swans, and a variety of song birds. As the canal, despite restoration of the lock, is not really in use, there are plenty of fish splashing around in the canal, as well.
