The Railway Museum Bochum celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. Since 1977 locomotives and special wagons of railway history have been collected in the former railway depot Dahlhausen, rebuilt museum or even put back into a working condition. Some of the exhibits are ready to go and regularly start with theme trips for many enthusiastic passengers.
Numerous rides on rail buses, steam and diesel locomotives as well as our museum train invite you to exciting themed rides. These trips to still active coal mines and steelworks provide a glimpse into the history and present of heavy industry in the Ruhrgebiet.
