In 1893, the preliminary work on the site was begun, the railway bridge then completed in 1897 as a steel construction of the MAN Gustavsburg plant. First designs for an arch bridge at this point between the two cities go back to the year 1889. The six scaffolding pillars have a maximum height of 69 m. The middle opening of the superstructure, which spans the valley floor, has a mean span of 170 m. The total length of the steel structure is 465 m. A total of 5,000 t of steel profiles were installed and 950,000 rivets were knocked.

The bridge is a real superlative.
    Height: 107 m
    Opened: July 15, 1897
    Longest span: 170 m
It is currently being restored and soon heavy trains will be able to run over it again. Then there are steam locomotives on special occasions again.

Nice tourist corner, perfect as a starting point for mountain biking. Plenty of parking nearby, the house of Müngsten should be approached as early as possible, since only a few places are available;)
