Short climb with a hairpin about a third of the way up. Its actually fairly tame going up to the hairpin. Don't go too hard at the bottom as the bit after the hairpin, doesn't look steep but can hurt you if you've off too hard.

This is a nice climb through the quaint village of Wherwell.
The first part flows between old barns and thatched cottages, while the next stretch, just past the White Lion Pub, goes through a tunnel of trees.
