Would be a great route when the weather gets better, very soft under foot in places and little streams were anything but. Had to abandon the planned route in the end as one “little stream” was a 2 metre wide torrent and my hiking boots don’t come up to the knee! Fortunately able to navigate back to the car via (mostly) gravel paths.

Nice hike, slightly dodgy having to walk up & down Old Stockbridge Road - better option would be to park on the wasteland at the junction to Goodworth Clatford - noted for next time. The area flagged as “impassable” has been cut back, so no issues with access. Muddy in places, but with all the rain of late, that’s hardly surprising.

A great route despite the underfoot challenges! Tip: try to stick to gravelled tracks from November til April-ish. 'Rides' (the grassy tracks) are primarily for horseriders!
