Hiking
Shortly before entering the National Park, coming from Litochoro, you have to cross the river for the first time without a bridge if you are on the wrong side.
There are 3 more river crossings, where the bridges are destroyed and not rebuilt.
Basically, all crossings can be done barefoot without any problems. It would be ideal if you have swimming shoes with you.
The stones are very slippery and the current is sometimes very strong.
In addition, depending on the water level, you may find yourself walking in water up to your knees.
