The hike between Litochoro and the hut is long and steep, but leads you to a beautiful valley with many old wooden bridges and a monastery that is well worth seeing

As of today, September 2024, at least 3 wooden bridges have collapsed. The path is also officially closed with a sign between Litochoro and Prionia. We walked it anyway, as it is relatively easy to cross when the water is low. But do this at your own risk!
