Alpamayo Base Camp Nord is spectacularly located at the foot of Alpamayo, offering a direct view of the famous, perfectly symmetrical north face. From here, the classic routes to Cara Cara Pass and to the viewpoints of Alpamayo, Quitaraju, and Santa Cruz start. The vast moraine landscape around the camp makes it one of the most photogenic places on the entire Alpamayo Circuit.
