The old look of the Faro de Punta Cumplida was exhibited from 1992 to 2013 in the passenger terminal in the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, has returned to Barlovento and is exhibited in the center. An interesting piece of technology.

The first optics were powered by olive oil.
It was later replaced by a system whose wicks were soaked in paraffin or petroleum. Even later, the signals were sent using electric light. It was not until 1982 that the old lighting device, which Henry Lepaute had made in Paris, was replaced by a more modern one. This led to a slight change to the top of the tower, and the adjacent outbuilding has been completely preserved in its original form.
