The Maitland Trail spans roughly 50 kilometres from Auburn to Goderich, following the Maitland River through lush forests and rolling hills, with beautiful river views along the way, ranging from flat sections to more challenging climbs. From this junction, it offers a great opportunity to create a loop to extend your hike, combining the easy rail trail with the more natural and varied terrain of the Maitland River Valley, which connects back to the Airport Road access point of the Tiger Dunlop Heritage Trail.
