This impressive ruin of a 19th-century Tudor Gothic-style mansion was once the seat of the Crosbie family. The castle was destroyed in 1921 during the Irish War of Independence by the IRA to prevent occupation by British troops. Today, its carcass forms the atmospheric centrepiece of the local golf course. From this elevated spot, you can enjoy panoramic views over Ballyheigue Bay and the rugged coastline of Kerry.
