Construction of the Böhmewald-Bad began as early as 1950. The outdoor pool, located directly on the Böhme river, was opened in 1954. In 1973, an indoor swimming pool was built in the immediate vicinity. The thermal spa with brine pool and sauna was inaugurated in 1990.
