Hiking
Stage 2 leads from Alken about 19 km to Treis Karden over this ridge. After just under a mile, there is a great unobstructed view of the castle Eltz.
The short, crisp climb is worth the walk is partially washed out, rocky and covered with roots and scree. I recommend firm shoes and sure-footedness, as on all hiking trails!
