Beautiful waterfront with old and interesting designed houses. Nice localities
the visitor also finds. Every Sunday in Cannobio there is a market where everything is offered.

A nice little place close to the border, but the feeling is really Italy with a wonderful view over the lake and some good restaurants.

Cannobio has been documented by historians as a very old and flourishing village thanks to its intense trading activities. The economy at that time was based on crafts, agriculture and, above all, on their trade, which took place predominantly by sea.

The wealth of the Middle Ages is still visible today in the historic center around the gothic town hall from the end of the 13th century.

Cannobio has a southern-looking character, while the well-known Ticino cities of Ascona, Locarno, Bellinzona and Lugano (southern Switzerland) tend to be more Central European. In Cannobio you will encounter the "Bella Italianità", the Italian way of life. Cannobio is a picturesque town with many alleys, stairs and archways that lead down to the lake.

Very nice town on the western shore of Lake Maggiore. There is plenty of history both to see and to feel. Very good restaurants and the people are friendly.
