In a sun-drenched location in the glacier area Längfluh lies the refuge Längfluh. In addition to delicious food with a view of a breathtaking panorama, the mountain lodge also offers overnight accommodation. 15 beds can be reserved by phone at least two days in advance.
The Längfluh is a rocky outcrop of the Pennine Alps, which shares the Fee Glacier above Saas Fee in the Valais. The Längfluh can be reached by cable car and belongs to a ski area.
Beiz with train! New, comfortable and elegant dark blue gondolas soar in no more than eight minutes to the playground floor directly in front of the terrace of the region's best mountain restaurant. The play floor is a feel-good zone: light wood, lots of glass, huge sun terrace, glacier and village views. The Spielboden is the "branch" of the 18-point restaurant Fletschhorn. The six (!) Wine cabinets in the entrance area alone are reminiscent of that.At 2448 meters above sea level, à la minute is served, with the utmost care and of the highest quality. The very best: the wonderful boiled beef salad, which was applied in a bowl to Amuse-Bouche. Gentle meat. Gentle jelly. Lovingly diced vegetables. Refreshing temperature. A strong business card presented by chef Mathias Häusler!A few dishes are mandatory up there: The soup with alp cheese, Fendant and rye bread is indeed as advertised "much lighter than a fondue". On the "Valais Plättli" Knobliwurst and slightly smoked smoked cheese bacon impress. From the pasta section we recommend «Gletscherhüetli» with a Ragù alla bolognese from Rib-Eye. Alternative: Müscheli - with Moules and Vongole. The classic with the main courses is "The real Wiener Schnitzel" (sliced of veal, with lukewarm potato salad).
