Type: This is a standard tower of the former Deutsche Bundespost (now Deutsche Funkturm).
Height: The tower is a total of 120 meters high.
Construction: It is made of reinforced concrete and follows the characteristic design of telecommunication towers from the 1970s.
Function and use:
The tower primarily serves infrastructure purposes and is normally not accessible to the public (no viewing platform).
Microwave links: It is an important hub for microwave links in the region.
Mobile communications: It houses transmission equipment for various mobile networks.
Broadcasting: Digital radio programs (DAB+) are also broadcast from here.
