    The Monument of Poles – Victims of the Terrorist Attack in New York of 11.09.2001, in the form of a rectangular black granite slab placed on a pedestal with the engraved names of six Polish victims of the World Trade Center attack, was unveiled on the first anniversary of the attack, September 11, 2002, by President Aleksander Kwaśniewski. Representatives of the victims' families and New York police officers attended the ceremony.
