Tundra Visitor Complex with trails & ranger-led hikes, an art gallery & snow-capped Denali vistas:

"Since 1934, some kind of visitor facility has existed along Eielson Bluffs. The first facility was a tent camp called Camp Eielson, and named after pioneer Alaskan aviator Carl Ben Eielson. In 1960, after four years of design and construction, an interpretive center and rest stop opened and replaced the tent camp. A major remodel in 2008 ensured the building kept a low profile, tucked partly into the hillside below the park road. The area has always been famous for its amazing views of Denali on clear days, and it is not uncommon to see wildlife on the surrounding hillsides. Located at Mile 66 of the Denali Park Road, Eielson Visitor Center can be reached by most shuttle buses, and by the Kantishna Experience tour bus. Features include daily ranger-led programs, a small gallery of art inspired by Denali's natural wonders, and, on clear days, amazing views of Denali and the Alaska Range.

Open June 1 through mid-September (closing two weeks after Labor Day each year).

Daily hours: 9 am—5:30 pm. (However, the restroom portion of the facility remains unlocked 24 hours a day, so hikers arriving after-hours can still use them)"
