The Batardeau at the Mühlengraben was a central component of the Spandau moat. With the help of the massive brick wall, the water level in the wet moat was regulated and controlled - and therefore it could not be destroyed in an attack. That is why it was built particularly thick and massive - and it still stands on the Mühlengragen today.
