The forest chapel in the middle of the forest The Peterwälder "Bildchen" is located about 4 km from the village of Peterswald. The foundation stone for the construction of this chapel was laid in 1858. The baroque Marian altar was previously in the parish church of Peterswald. Regularly on May 1, the forest chapel is visited by prayer processions from Peterswald and Altlay.
