The vision: to bake a loaf of bread, and everything that goes with it should happen within a 20-meter radius. Grain cultivation, milling, dough preparation, baking. The initiator and local climate and sustainability activist Paul Königsmann hopes to bring life back to the 21-meter-high Letter Mill, built in 1812. A super regional bread is to be created here, while the windmill's blades turn again after so many years of inactivity. Official permits and the necessary renovations still stand in the way of success. But then it will be: climate-friendly, super regional bread straight from Lette!

The four-story Letter tower windmill was put into operation in 1813. At that time it was covered with 20,000 wooden shingles. In the course of the restoration from 1967 to 1969, only the cap was covered with wooden shingles again. The fuselage received support formwork. The interior with two grinders is still completely in place. In 1934, the company switched from wind to electric operation.
