Located in the heart of Malå is Tjamstanbackarna, one of Västerbotten's most popular ski resorts. The area boasts ten slopes, four lifts, and an off-piste area. The longest run is one kilometer long. There's also a cross-country ski trail directly connected to the resort, as well as marked snowmobile routes. In summer, mountain biking, hiking, and running on Mount Tjamstan are popular activities.
