Gravel riding
Historical context: At the beginning of the 20th century, a noble family built a hunting pavilion here. Above the door hung their coat of arms, bearing the name "de Schoutheete de Tervant." The name's meaning: Schoutheete in Middle Dutch means "to give orders" or "to provide obligatory services." More fascinating historical information can be found on-site.
In the early 2000s, the hunting pavilion was demolished to make way for the flood plain.
