This is a truly spectacular suspension bridge. It is made of larch wood (like the houses in Valais) and runs 92 metres above the young Rhone (or Rotten). It is only 140 centimetres wide and 280 metres long, making it one of the longest pedestrian suspension bridges in Switzerland.

The Fürgangen-Mühlebach suspension bridge, also called the "Goms Bridge", was originally built to offer hikers an alternative to the path through the Lamma Gorge. This was very difficult to maintain because the steep terrain was prone to landslides. Today, the "Goms Bridge", which crosses the wild Rhone at a height of 92 metres, is also a tourist attraction. For safety reasons, however, cyclists are required to dismount and push their bikes.
