Hiking
The Brabant Environmental Federation, together with Brabants Landschap and municipalities, is developing so-called "ommetjes" (walks). These are circular walks in the rural areas of a village.
Due to land consolidation, many paths have disappeared from the farmland. It became increasingly difficult to create such a circular walk. This not only meant fewer recreational opportunities, but it was also unfortunate from a cultural-historical, landscape, and ecological perspective.
These walks increase the accessibility of the countryside. People can now explore it on foot, via dirt roads, meadows, shortcuts, and bridges.
