  • Henkenshage Castle (or Henckenshage) is a castle-like building in Sint-Oedenrode, in the Dutch province of Noord-Brabant. Originally it was one of the many locks that existed in this region, a fortified mansion or nobleman's house with no military function. It was probably built in the beginning of the 14th century. In the 15th century the House was called Strijpe or Streepen, but the name Henkenshage already appeared in 1387, including as Haenckenshage. Haencken probably refers to a person and is a corruption of John.

  • This castle still looks so well maintained. Imagine working at the school next door. Then you have a great view. By the way, there is a restaurant in the castle. Stimulate your senses and be surprised!
On our atmospheric terrace and in the coach house restaurant you can enjoy a seasonally inspired menu.
On Sundays between 12:00 and 18:00 the castle is open for lunch or a cozy drink.
    Lunch menu
    The kitchen is open 12:00 – 18:00.
