The Church of St. Paul the Apostle, designed by Royal Building Councilor Franz Schwechten, is the only one of his four Berlin churches to survive World War II largely undamaged and to this day retains its original design. Particularly worth seeing are the harmoniously designed nave with its delicate galleries, sandstone columns, and historic murals, the stained-glass windows of high artistic quality, and the altar and baptismal area with its symbolism from Christian tradition. Be sure to also admire the organ by C. F. Walcker & Co., which forms the centerpiece of the gallery.
