Lake Gudow is the source lake of the Hellbach, which connects all lakes of the Möllner Lake District and drains into the Elbe-Lübeck Canal.

The water of two moor areas comes together in Lake Gudow before flowing further over the 400-meter Hellbach into Lake Sarnekow. The neighboring Segrahner See also passes on its water here.
A beautiful circular route leads along Lake Gudow and through the small town of Gudow with one of the oldest field stone churches in the Duchy of Lauenburg. There are two swimming spots and a campsite on the lake. The path around Gudower See is picturesquely beautiful, sometimes a bit bumpy on the west bank, but it's worth it.weites.land/gudower-see
