Burgstein (Dollnstein)

Here is a nice rest area with information boards and a little shade. The rock formations are great to look at and give the area a characteristic look and an almost bizarre ambience. The practically vertically sloping Burgstein is a popular training area for climbers, which is also often used and probably has a lot of difficulties to offer. Watching the boys and girls climbing up is sometimes breathtaking and you're literally worried that nothing will happen and you keep your fingers crossed for success.

The steeply rising Burgstein is part of a rock massif in the Upper Bavarian district of Eichstätt on the northern edge of the Oberes Altmühltal near Dollnstein opposite the Bubenroth mill in the nature park
