The building is enclosed in a glass climate shell that creates a Mediterranean climate similar to that in Nice. On average, this is 5 °C warmer than the outside temperature. Computer-controlled ventilation enables heat to be exchanged without additional energy being required. Water features, earth channels and large gates prevent overheating in summer. The building has a glass shell that is 176 meters long, 72 meters wide and 15 meters high and is supported by a timber framework.
