The trail goes over a length of approx. 3 km, always above the Rhine, through the forest. Times up a few meters, then straight down again a few meters. Sometimes a few meters into the forest, then right back again. In several places there are small paths that bring you directly to the shore.

If you walk along the Grenzgänger hiking path, you are always above the Rhine in the forest. But if you go in the direction of Ramsen, at some point shortly after the meadow at the chapel, a small forest path on the right towards the Rhine, on a small sign is Beneweg. Just follow this instead of the signposted footpath and walk along a narrow path.
