Lake Lookout sits along the south side of the Old Baldy Trail, with a short path that drops right to the rocky shoreline of Candle Lake. From this spot, you get a close, unobstructed view across the wide lake, framed by a few overhanging branches and the gentle curve of the forested shore on the opposite side. It’s a peaceful place to pause, especially at sunrise or sunset, when the light reflects beautifully off the calm water and shoreline stones.
