Known primarily for its beautifully preserved old town center, the small town of Stein am Rhein lies east of the border between Germany and Switzerland. In both summer and winter, it's a wonderful setting for strolling and relaxing.

If you arrive here in the summer with empty water bottles but do not want to stop by, you will find a large well with drinking water at the beginning of the pedestrian zone.
In the curve after the Rhine bridge just a few meters to the left into the pedestrian street.

A visit is always worth a coffee with cake, an ice cream or a Swiss light. When the weather is nice, it's good to be on the road, and cycling is even allowed at walking pace! Of course one can not be surprised by the house facades. What a pleasure!
