Hiking

The village was first mentioned in the 12th century, and its inhabitants lived from agriculture. However, its proximity to Vogelsang Castle proved disastrous, leading to Allied shelling. After the war, the area was evacuated, and the returning villagers had to make way for a military training ground for the British and later Belgian occupying forces. Today, only a few buildings (church, school) remain, along with structures used for training by the occupying forces. Information panels with photographs provide further details in the village.
