The church was built in the second half of the 13th century from Feldsteinen in Gothic style as a simple hall construction. The church is surrounded by a small cemetery surrounded by a boulder wall. In the cemetery wall is a legendary stone. Its two holes are said to have been pushed by Emperor Otto I with a stick.
