Hiking
Maastricht Underground consists of the Sint Pieter Caves, the caves of the former NATO headquarters, Fort Sint Pieter, and the casemates.
Maastricht Underground offers various underground tours daily: exploremaastricht.nl/de/maastricht-underground
The guided tour through the Maastricht caves beneath Sint Pieters Hill (Grotten Noord - North Caves) is an interesting journey of discovery through history. It lasts approximately one hour and ten minutes and is offered by experienced guides in Dutch or English. At 11 degrees Celsius, the tour through the caves is a welcome respite from the summer heat. 😉
Sturdy shoes and a warm jacket are recommended!
