The so-called La Cros Sulphuric Acid Factory Chimney, also known as the La Trinidad Fertilizer Factory Chimney, opened in 1884. There, phosphates of animal origin and superphosphates of mineral origin were processed with sulfuric acid, resulting in fertilizers that were in high demand in agriculture at the time. In 1910, it became the property of the General Society of Industry and Commerce, in 1936 of the Spanish Explosives Union, and finally of La Cros, until the latter relocated its production and continued to operate it until the 1990s.
