The Cohausen Temple was built in 1910 on the western slope of the Kapellenberg near Hofheim am Taunus in memory of Karl August von Cohausen, the former director of the Nassau Antiquities Collection. Cohausen had particularly devoted himself to researching the ring walls in the Taunus, including the tower on the Kapellenberg.
