Behind the chapel you can still see the stump of the lighthouse. It has a good Ausbilck on the beach and the southern coast.

Just a few meters off the Way of St. James, on the edge of a steep rocky outcrop above Boa Nova beach, is the Chapel of São Clemente das Penhas, which was restored in 2016. The original church dates back to 1392 and was part of the no longer existing Franciscan monastery.
