Weathering and erosion contributed to the creation of this protected area, which impresses with its extraordinary beauty and colors. The mountains are composed of chalk rock and are distinguished by their striking color layers, hence the name Tiramisu Mountains. The lightest colors are found at the foot of the rocks, alternating with pink and beige.

Hiking
The Kyzyzl Kup, called "Tiramisu Mountain", is finely layered in color: brown clay marl at the top, then white, gray, white, green, red, green. Overall, it appears greenish. The bands wind clearly around the mountain, beautifully marking its smoothly polished, organic shape.
Sometimes, rarely, sandstone crags break through the soft forms. The washed-out drainage channel runs in the red rock: porphyry? A hare runs away from me; it uses washed-out rain gutters as a burrow and sun protection.
