The Belchen (1,414 m) is one of the most striking peaks in the Black Forest and is considered its most beautiful vantage point.

The summit offers a magnificent 360-degree panorama: The Vosges Mountains rise to the west, the Swiss Alps shine to the south, and the densely wooded hills of the Black Forest stretch to the north and east.

The ascent can be either on foot via the Belchensteig trail or comfortably by taking the Belchen cable car. At the top, the Belchenhaus and the expansive mountain meadows invite you to linger. The summit is particularly impressive at sunrise or sunset, when the light bathes the landscape in warm colors.
